Season's Greetings

Nutcracker

A tool not only for seasonal use

As the year draws to a close we would like to express to all our customers and friends our gratitude for sharing business with us and for your past commitment to our company.

This year we worked on nutcracking. Here, our focus was on the integration of a realistic walnut model into a Finite Element model of a nutcracker with much fun and virtually, of course.

In an effort to reach out and help others to also have festive feelings we provide a charity to UNICEF this year again.

The draft design of a nutcracker has been transferred to a Finite Element model. The realistic model of a walnut was created and integrated in the nutcracker model. The animation shows the evolution of the stress due to the leverage.

More videos of PERMAS analyses are available on youtube. Additional information on PERMAS can also be found on wikipedia.
