INTES Engineering Software

Our Know-How: Finite Elements

INTES is your competent partner for all aspects of numerical simulation using Finite Elements (FE). INTES develops and markets the standard software PERMAS to perform FE analysis tasks.

INTES provides FE training courses and offers consulting services for analysis projects of her customers.

In addition, software development projects are performed for customers to improve productivity of the CAE process in the PERMAS environment.

PERMAS is an internationally established FE analysis system with users in many countries. It offers powerful capabilities, ultimate computing power and high software reliability.

PERMAS enables the engineer to perform comprehensive analyses and simulations in many fields of applications like stiffness and stress analysis, contact analysis, vibrations, acoustic simulations, temperature fields and electromagnetic fields.

PERMAS integrates numerous optimization methods, like topology optimization, shape optimization including bead design, and sizing optimization.

In addition, reliability analysis provides tools and solvers to evaluate the influence of uncertain model parameters.

In view of today's increasing requirements for short design cycles and high quality products, the finite element analysis becomes an indispensible tool for the daily development work. Moreover, complex products are often developed in distributed structured companies. This makes interdependencies between different components of the product visible in time only if they are simulated and analysed on the computer. At the same time, the quality assurance of analysis results is of great importance. Hence, the choice of the right analysis tool is of crucial significance.

VisPER is the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of PERMAS to support the definiton of model properties and to evaluate the results.

For the definition of the model based on a given mesh, VisPER supports the definition of additional model properties. In particular, numerous Wizards support a guided model description, which improves the completeness of the required model data and reduces the number of inconsistencies in the model data.

During result evaluation, many quantities can be visualized and animated on the structural surface. The generation of videos is also supported. MOreover, history plots in time and frequency domain as well as over iterations in nonlinear or optimization runs can be viewed as XY graphs.
